We are extremely pleased and grateful to Phil, Wendy and the rest of the Tucker team, for their excellent work in developing our ideas into our wonderful garden.
There was an awful amount of work to be done, it was an overgrown wilderness, with a useless steep slope and a set of broken and dangerous steps. We had a sketch of exactly what we wanted to do, but didn’t have the time or means to do it, which is when we approached Tucker Landscapes.
Phil and Wendy came out and we went through everything, including the access issues into the garden, nothing phased the Tuckers!! The garden had to be accessed from neighbouring gardens which Phil and Wendy did with minimal inconvenience to the neighbours and kept them happy throughout. Nothing was too much trouble, the job was carried out with a friendly and reliable manner, they are extremely hardworking and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone, it was a pleasure to have them around the place.
From having a garden that we didn’t and couldn’t enjoy, you can’t keep us out of it now, it has really come on and become established. Phil, Wendy and the team built us a lovely Indian stone patio / terrace area, with vegetable and herb planters to the rear, with steps down into the garden, where they laid new turf to create a lovely lawned area with deep borders which has a great variety of shrubs, flowers and spring bulbs for all year round interest, and finished it off with a wooden fence. They are extremely hardworking and conscientious, and pay great attention to detail and finishing touches.
During the process of stripping and digging out the land, they even un-earthed a large enamel garage sign, which now hangs from the fencing as we couldn’t bear to part with it.
We are extremely proud of our garden and so pleased we decided to get the professionals in to do the job. Work within the house is very much ‘work in progress’ but we do have the sanctuary of the garden to escape to.

Having returned to the area following an absence of 30 years we sought advice as to a good landscaping company and Philip
Tucker Landscapes were recommended to us. They have lived up to the recommendation and we would not consider using anyone else in the future. Phil and Wendy made a fabulous job of transforming our back garden from a wilderness into a garden we are extremely proud of. We are not gardening experts but from the very beginning they helped us understand and research the materials we would require for the hard landscaping. They listened to our thoughts on plants and planting, interpreted and developed this into a plan for us. The planting was carried out by Phil and Wendy and after a few months maturing we are very pleased with the results.
Our experience is that they take great pride in their workmanship, planning and their attention to detail is exceptional, corners were not cut, the job was of the highest quality.
The work was carried out with efficiency, humour and with the minimum of disruption to ourselves. All waste materials were taken away each day, there was no need to have a skip outside the house. They both work very hard, have all the equipment to carry out the job properly and they can get their little digger into places most people couldn’t get a pram!

The quality of work that the Tuckers produced was absolutely outstanding. We cannot fault their knowledge, craftsmanship and phenomenal dedication – and we are usually pretty hard to please! We are very grateful to Phil, Wendy and their team for the excellent job they did on re-landscaping our garden, which included laying patios, building stone walls, installing a pond, creating a stream, laying out flowerbeds, turfing and laying foundations and doing the brickwork for a summerhouse. I’m gradually developing a design for our new garden but when it comes to turning it into reality I’m definitely worried that we won’t find anyone with your standards. I have had a look at companies round here and they all appear to lack the personal touch we are used to from you.

We have employed Philip Tucker on two very different projects in 2009. The first project integrated a small rough paddock, which had been separated by a high fence, into an existing garden. This involved reshaping beds and borders, as well as laying turf for an extensive new lawn area. The project was executed to time and budget with a pleasing result.
The second, much larger project, has been to create a courtyard garden in an area which had recently become available following the demolition of a double garage and row of stables. This project includes a terrace with a pergola, bubble fountain in small pond with rill to waterfall into larger pond, paved areas, small lawn and extensive gravel paths and flower beds.
We greatly admire two things. Firstly the very methodical approach and consistently high work rate of both Philip and his daughter Wendy. Secondly the attention to detail and finish in the hard landscaped areas. We recommend them strongly.
